Friends of the Medal of Honor Grove Make History

Dan Koval, Downingtown DOES | 07/30/2014

The Friends of the Medal of Honor Grove announce an important enhancement in the Grove. For the first time in its history, there is now a paved road along the Hawaii and Alaska acres at the far end of the Grove. These back acres were often overlooked by visitors and viewed as a wooded area. This new roadway will now allow the public to enjoy the Grove in its entirety on paved roadway. Visit the Hawaii acre and be greeted by the lava rocks placed at the walkway when the obelisk was added to the Grove. Read more‚Äč

For the Friends 3rd consecutive year, the Friends have worked on the roadway. This year, a roadway was added. Here are the photos.
